This listing is for an EXTREMELY RARE 1964 John F. Kennedy commemorative first day of issue postal cover signed by Lt. Pierre Antoine Finck (November 14, 1923 - February 17, 2018). Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 in Dallas, Texas, his body was taken to Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Maryland, where his autopsy was conducted. Finck, along with Commander James J.
Thornton Boswell performed the autopsy on President Kennedy in the autopsy suite of Bethesda Naval Hospital on the evening of November 22, 1963. Finck was interviewed by the Warren Commission where he testified that he believed Kennedy was "shot from the rear". He added the bullet entered in the back of the head and went out on the right side of his skull. After further questioning from Arlen Specter, Finck claimed that Kennedy had been shot from behind and above. Finck, along with Humes and Boswell, signed the official autopsy report of President Kennedy.
